Project Objective: Developing an “integrated seismic method” for relatively fast, cheap, economical exploration of lignite in Turkey is the prime objective of this study. Moreover, coalbed gas potential of these lignites will be investigated. The Tertiary Soma Basin is selected as a pilot study area for the development of the discussed methods.

Expected Results and Outputs: The obtained results through the integrated methods will be generalized to the country by the General Directorate of Turkish Coal (TKI)
