NATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

As a public R&D institution, we value the collaborations with several institutions and organizations that share the same interests including Turkish Ministry of Health, Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry, municipalities, and universities by developing several research programs.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

As a leading institution in the area of genetic engineering and biotechnology research in Turkey, we give utmost importance to our collaborations with other international institutions doing research in the same area in order to closely follow the most recent developments in the field, and try to make new collaborative research projects under the auspices of inter-governmental research agreements in the area of scientific research.

INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

GEBI is the main institution in Turkey, which establishes international collaborations in the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology. The institution has been confirmed as an excellence centre for "Third World Academy of Science (TWAS)" and has been also affiliated with "International Centre of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB-Trieste). Additionally, GEBI had been also the main collaborator of European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) and European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Turkey until 2005.
