UNIDO International Study Tour combined with a workshop and training programmes started in 2002 at TUBITAK MRC, Food Institute in Gebze. These programmes have been conducted successfully in nine times. The general idea of UNISWORK programmes is to combine the provision of information on latest developments in selected areas of food processing and the exchange of various experiences relating to food processing from different regions. This enhances cooperation among various countries in the field of food processing and food safety necessary for the development an upgrading of agro-food processing in participating countries. Beneficiary countries are Africa, Asia, Middle East and Balkan Countries.

UNISWORK programmes are organised with funding from the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Trade, TICA and UNIDO.
