Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız has visited TUBITAK MAM Energy Institute on 6th January 2012. He has been met by TUBITAK President Prof.Dr. Yücel Altunbaşak. In the first half of the visit he has been informed about the research activities conducted in MAM Energy Institute. After the meeting; Electric Vehicle, Battery, Combustion and Gasification Pilot Plants, Gas Technologies and Fuel Cell Technologies laborattories has been visited accompanied with the reserachers' detailed information about the activities. The Minister Taner Yıldız has had a short test drive with BORMOBİL-the Sodium Borohydride Fuel Cell Vehicle which is aproduct of MAM Energy Institute.
International Energy Agency Advanced Motor Fuels (IEA AMF) Implementing Agreement Executive Commitee Meeting was held in Istanbul on 25th-27 th October 2011. As the “study tour” part of the meeting members visited TUBTAK MAM Energy Institute laboratories.

Experts from Korea Institute of Energy Research-KIER visitied Energy Institute on 8-9th June 2011. Together with the representatives from General Directorate of Turkish Coal, future colloboration possibilitie were discussed.

Munich Technical University engineering stusents and professors visited Energy Institute on 8-9th June 2011. After the Energy Institute Introduction, general issues of energy sector in Turkey were discussed.
24th May 2011 "Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Workshop"
On 24th May 2011, TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Energy Institute organized "Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Workshop" which included presentations of International Energy Agency (IEA) Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Implementing Agreement members and representatives of Turkish Automotive companies. In the workshop, participants were informed about the applications and new developments in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle technologies in the world and in Turkey.
Biogas Production and Utilization Workshop -14th April 2011
Biogas Production and Utilization Workshop was held in Energy Institute Conference Hall on 14th April 2011, with the participation and extensive presentations of International Energy Agency (IEA) Task 37 Energy From Biogas Task members and researchers from Turkey. Some representatives from Turkish industry also participated and followed the sessions.
2nd National Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair-13-14 January 2011
Energy Institute participated in 2nd National Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair on 13th -14th January 2011. In the Forum, presentations of "Fuel Cell Bades Microcogeneration System" and Liquid Fuel Production from Biomass and Coal Blends" projects were made by Energy Institute researchers. EI also participated to the fair with its booth.

Hacettepe University R&D Student Club visited Energy Institute on 24 th December 2010. Assoc.Prof.Haydar Livatyalı made a presentation about MRC and Energy Instiute and answered the questions of students. The visit ended with laboratory tour.

Innovative Coal Technologies Meeting – 29-30th May 2010
Innovative Coal Technologies Meeting was organized in 29-30th May 2010 in Abant with the cooperation of TUBITAK MRC Energy Institute and General Directorate of Turkish Coal Enterprises. The meeting which university, industry and governmental institution experts participated and made presentations on different areas of coal technologies, aimed to form a national road map for Clean Coal Technologies.
