MRC Institutes in the EU Framework Programme

MRC Institutes have been quite active in the 6. Framework Programme (FP6) from the very beginning. Currently, four institutes have running FP6 projects. The Energy Institute and the Food Institute have shown outstanding success in the Programme. They have been prominent in the number of supported project participations. The Energy Institute's portfolio of FP6 projects includes two "Center of Excellence" contracts on Hydrogen Energy and Biomass Gasification. The Food Institute has participated in a wide range of FP6 projects on "Food Quality and Safety", one of the priority areas of the Programme. The Earth and Marine Sciences Institute has participated in two projects. This Institute is also active in "Transnational Access" to Research Infrastructures through FP6. The Chemistry and Environment Institute has successfully completed one SSA project as coordinator and started a new IP as partner.

Energy Institute Food Institute

The EU Framework Programme Office gives support to all institutes of TUBITAK at Gebze Campus. For possible cooperation with MRC Institutes in the Framework Programmes, one can establish contact through this office or write directly to the FP contact persons of the institutes on their respective pages.
Some of the institutes have been active in shaping their prospects in Framework Programme 7. Their specific interest areas for the current calls and search profiles for potential partners are being posted in their respective pages.
